This short comic was done in 2022 for my manga-inspired webcomic, Rainy Day Dreams‘, annual reader event. This event was part character popularity contest, part Q and A. The resulting comic plot was done in the style of the tv show, the Dating Game. Readers were able to vote on which characters they wanted to see included in this mini comic. They also had the option of submitting ice-breaker style questions to be asked. Based on the submissions I received, I created this short comic which posted during the week of Valentine’s day, 2022. During that week, reader’s were able to vote for which Mystery Date they thought should win the Dating Game. The final page was created using the tallied votes and posted the following week.

This comic was created using a combination of digital and traditional methods. The pencils and line art were done traditionally with pen and paper. The colors and lettering were done digitally. Colors were done in Clip Studio Paint and word balloons/lettering was done using Photoshop.
